How do you add and subtract LOG? like; log₄x+log₄5-Log₄8

When logs are added, the original numbers were multiplied. Example: log₄(16 x 20) = log₄(16) + log₄(20)

When logs are subtracted, the original numbers were divided. Example: log₄(16 / 20) = log₄(16) - log₄(20)

log₄(x) + log₄(5) - log₄(8) = log₄( x · 5 / 4) = log₄( 5x/4 )
