that is the formula. otherwise, it should go something like this: point 1's ordered pair will fill in xand yand point 2 will do the other two. for example, let's say that point 1's ordered pair is (2,5) and point 2's ordered pair is (4,9), this is how the numbers should be put in:

x= 2

x2 = 4

y1 = 5

y2 = 9

 

(remember, it's (x, y))

now, you use the formula; you find the difference, for both the x's and the y's, then divide and you get ur answer.
