How to change an equation into slope intercept form

Solve it for y.

For example:                                2x + 3y  =  6

Subtract 2x from both sides:               3y  =  -2x + 6

Divide both sides by 3:                          y  =  -2/3·x + 3

Slope  =  -2/3

Y-intercept  =  3
