how to put 4^8 into a scientific calculator

Dakota, the asker doesn't want to put a square number in.    

 

On the web2 calc you just enter   4^8

on other calcs you may enter     4  $${{\mathtt{x}}}^{{\mathtt{y}}}$$    8        

OR on newer calcs sometimes the y is just a black box.

 

$${{\mathtt{4}}}^{{\mathtt{8}}} = {\mathtt{65\,536}}$$

There should be a button that looks like

Then it'll immidately put in the power of 2 to the number.
