100% is the most effort you can give.
But then I heardt that the new price is 150 percent of the old price but you can't have 150% because my teacher told me, so it doesn't make any sence

If someone say they want you to do 110%. It just means they want you to do better than you think you are able to.
It is true that most people can do more than they think they can.That is how we learn.

If you have a dollar that would be 100 pennies. If someone gave you 50 more pennies then you have 50% more and your total amount would be 150% of what you started with.
Some people live in places that do not have dollars or pennies. The same thing is true if you had marbles or anything that you can count.

+55 Thank you Dragonlance. I think I have got it.
So if I have 1 little dog, that is 100 % of a dog but if I have a really BIG dog then I have maybe 200% of a dog. But the little dog can't be more than 100% because it is already full grown. If it goes silly and makes a lot of noise then some people would say it is 110% of a dog but they are just being silly. 
+1315 You would probably need a little different concept for the dog idea.
I suppose if a person is use to dogs of a smaller size and they saw one that was much larger then they might say that is a dog and a half or two dog in one. Its not that they really think that, it just a way to explain how they see the dog.
After rereading what I wrote above I think I gave a 110% effort in writing what a philosophical concept is. hahaha
