A survey of 90 students from a high school is conducted. From this sample, it is found that 69 students have sent a text message on their smartphone at least once today, 38 have uploaded at least one "selfie" on their smartphone today, and 22 have done both.

Text Message              Have Not Sent a Text Message             Total
Have Taken a Selfie               22                                              16                                       38
Have Not Taken a Selfie        47                                               5                                        52
Total                                       69                                               21                                      90

Complete the rest of the two-way frequency table above.

Part A: How many students have neither sent a text message nor taken a selfie today?

Part B: What percentage of students in the school (rounded to the nearest whole percent) have sent a text message or have taken a selfie at least once today?

It looks like you have complted the table

The answer to the first question comes from the intersection of the second row with the second column  = 5

The answer to the second =

N(Selfie or Text Message)  = N(Selfie) + N(Text Message) - N(Selfie and Text Message)  =

                                                 38          +      69           -                22     =

                                                        107             -       22

                                                              85

So the percent that have taken a selfie or sent a text message divided by the total surveyed =

85 / 90    =  17/18   = about   94%
