The length  of one side of the square must  be  48 / 3   =   16

And in the rectangle we have that

L - W  = 7

So

L - 16  = 7   add 16 to both sides

L  = 23

Second one

We have an irregular pentagon

The sum of the interior angles  = 540°

So

84  +  12x  + 92  + (9x - 16)  +  (13x + 6)  = 540       simplify

166 +  34x  = 540              subtract 166 from both sides

34x  = 374        divide both sides by  34

x  = 11
