If I'm supposed to find how many grams of cork there are per cubic centimeter, would I do grams/cm^3 or cm^3/grams?

It would be grams/cm^3 because your answer needs to be in the order of grams of cork per cubic cm; the word "per" is demonstrated by the division sign.
