Sorry, but that last answer is simply not correct. If you take the square root of a decimal quantity, (less than 1), the result is a larger decimal.

For example,

$$0.5^{2}=0.25, \text{ so } \sqrt{0.25}=0.5.$$

Yes. You will just get a smaller decimal
