For this equation:  :   2x – 3y = - 6

a. Find the X intercept

b. Find the Y intercept

c. Graph the line

2x - 3y = -6

y=mx + b

subtract 3y from both sides: 3y = 2x - 6

divide both sides by 2: y= 1x - 3

Answer. a) m = 1 slope    b). b = -3 intercept

a.  The x intercept is the value of x at which y = 0.   2x - 3*0 = -6, x=-3

b. The y intercept is the value of y at which x = 0.  2*0 - 3y = -6,  y = 2.

The equation can be rewritten as y = (2/3)x + 2
