Let (x,y) be an ordered pair of real numbers that satisfies the equation \(x^2+y^2=14x+48y\). What is the minimum value of x?

Using my earlier answer....we had  a circle  with a center  of   (7, 24)  and a radius of 25

So....the minimum x value  is at the point  ( 7 - 25 , 24)   = (-18, 24)

So....the minimum x value is  -18

Yep...you can complete the square and you will still get the same  "circle" equation that I got on the other problem....
