Zoe is comparing two local yoga programs. Yoga-Weight charges $90 dollars a month and a registration free of $35. Essence of Yoga charges $80 per month with a $75 registration fee. After how many months will the two schools charge the same amount?

Let m be the number of months it takes to equalize the costs.....and we have

90m + 35 =  80m + 75     subtract 80m, 35 from each side

10m = 40    divide both sides by 20

m = 4 [ They will have cost the same after 4 months ]

The correct answer should be 4 NOT 2 that CPhill got. He used $70 charge for "Essence of Yoga" instead of $80 per month. But the Math is right. Just a simple mistake.
