Math question

$0.25x+3=0.1x+4.5$

$25x+300=10x+450$

$15x=150$

$x=10$

When will 3.00+.25x and 4.50+.10x cast the same amount of money

Well they have to be equal don't they:)

$3.00+.25x = 4.50+.10x$

 subtract 0.10x from BOTH sides

$3.00+0.15x = 4.50$

NOW subtract 3.00 from both sides and then think about how to finish it :)
