5/8*4/5 When multiplying fractions you can just multiply the two numerators together, and then the two denominators
5 * 4 = 20
8 * 5 = 40 each of these numbers is divisible by 20 so you divide both by 20 1/2
or you could cross divide to simplify the equation earlier.
5 * 4 both 5's are divisible by 5 so you can simply that 1 * 4 1 * 1 = 1
8 * 5 8 * 1 then both 4 and 8 are divisible by 4 so 2 * 1 = 2
the first method is probably easier.
