Solve for r

First you should note that  r cannot equal 2 or -1 becasue you cannot divide by 0.

$\frac{r+3}{r-2}=\frac{r-1}{r+1}\\ (r+3)(r+1)=(r-1)(r-2)\\ r^2+4r+3=r^2-3r+2\\ 4r+3=-3r+2\\ 7r=-1\\ r=\frac{-1}{7}$

check

(-1/7+3)/(-1/7-2) = -1.3333333333333333

(-1/7-1)/(-1/7+1) = -1.3333333333333333

Yep they are the same :)
