I dont get how 3 is a root: (x-1)^3-2(x-1)^2=0
(x - 1)3 - 2(x -1)2 = 0
Factor out the common term (x - 1)2: (x - 1)2[ (x - 1) - 2 ] = 0
Simplify: (x - 1)2[ x - 3 ] = 0
So, the roots are 1 (a double root) and 3.
Oh man... Thanks a lot! I was loosing a lot of time in this exercise and I need to go study Biology. How couldnt I see that, this wasnt that hard, thx :)
