Mandana is ordering new tile for her kitchen floor. The area of the floor is 119.7 square feet, and she wants to order between 15% and 20% extra of the materials. Which of the following is a reasonable amount of tile for Mandana to order?

For the lower number: find 15% of 119.7 and add it to 119.7:

--->   0.15 x 119.7  =  17.955   --->   119.7 + 17.955  =  137.655

For the upper number: find 20% of 119.7 and add it to 119.7:

--->   0.20 x 119.7  =  23.94   --->   119.7 + 23.94  =  143.64

The amount of tile should be between these two numbers.
