then Lenght = 2x

x + 2x + x + 2x = perimeter (which the problem says is 10)
so
x + 2x + x + 2x = 10 Simplifying:
6x = 10
x = 10/6 = 1 4/6 = 1 2/3 ft = width Length = 2x = 3 1/3

The parameter is

Also
Y=0.5X
So
2X + 2(0.5x) =10
3X = 10
X=3+1/3
Long side is 3+1/3 feet
