You want to make both denomiator's in this problem the same, So you have: $\frac{2}{3} - \frac{2}{6} = ?$We can find the LCM

(Least common mulitple) of these numbers, which is 6 because 6*1 = 6 and 3*2 = 6 So now we know we have $\frac{2}{6}$but we need to change $\frac{2}{3}$ to a denomiator of 6, we

can do this by simply changing it to six and to find the numerator we divde 6 by 3 and then multiply the quotient by the numerator of 2/3 which is to

so 2*2 is equal to 4 so now we have $\frac{4}{6}-\frac{2}{6}=\frac{2}{6}$ 

So now we know $\frac{2}{6}$ is or answer. whic reduces to $\frac{1}{3}$
