I am learning about quadratics. I am trying to find the x-intercepts.I can't seem to solve x2-9x+24=0 I feel like I am missing something. Both of my points will have to be negative in order for me to have a positive 24.
x^2 - 9x + 24 = 0
This has no x intercepts.....the discrminant = b^2 - 4ac = (-9)^2 - 4(1)(24) = 81 - 96 = - 15
Anytime the discriminant < 0.......we won't have any real roots [ x intercepts]
Here's a graph to help you......https://www.desmos.com/calculator/esjonexqaa
