Anon guest I think maybe you are picky about picket fences.

 Most paint cover 350 sq. ft. per gallon so that most likely what it is.

 

The fence is 26’ * 7’ = 182 sq.ft.

350/182 = 0.52 Gallon

Fences have two sides. I know because I painted a lot of them.

2 * 0.52 = 1.04 gallons

You say "a gallon of paint will cover 350 square(what)? feet? inches? See if you missed something.

Nice answer, Dragonlance.......[ I think you meant to write 182/350..... but........we get the general idea.....  !!!!]

 

Also very nice in realizing that BOTH sides must be painted.....!!!!
