Heres an example I did,

5326.6 = 5.3266 * 10^3

In this example, 5326.6 is written as 5.3266 × 103,
because 5326.6 = 5.3266 × 1000 = 5.3266 × 103

Does this make sense to you?

714285714285714.2857142857142857, how the h**l do I transfer that to standard form?

This is a big number so the index will be positive

7.1.4.2.8.5.7.1.4.2.8.5.7.1.4.2857142857142857

I just moved the point 14 places to get     7.142857142857142857142857142857

For standard form I have to have exaclt one non-zero digit infront of the point .

so the answer is

\(7.142857142857142857142857142857 \times 10^{14}\)
