Hi guys,
I hope you are all well. Please explain to me the following.
I wish I could draw the parabola, but if it's okay, I would just quickly explain the situation.
I have a parabola (f), with x intercepts at A(1,0) and B(7,0). The vertex is at E(4,-9). The Y intercept is at C(0,7). The question is this:
M is the reflection of C in the axis of symmetry of f. Write down the coordinates of M. The answer they give is M(8,7). I do not get how x ends up with the value 8. Please help me. Thank you all very much!
GUYS, I FIGURED IT OUT!!..I FAILED TO MOVE THE "C" OVER WITH THE REFLECTION...THANK YOU ALL
