Ross has a spinner that is split into eight equal sections numbered 1 through 8. He spun the spinner 1,112 times. Which of the following would be a good estimate of the number of times the spinner landed on number 6?
139
ross is very bored
The probability of landing on any number = (1/ 8)....so.....the number of times the spinner [theoretically] lands on a "6" =
1112 * (1/8 ) = 139 times
I kept getting 139 also but that was apparantly wrong.
