I assume this is supposed to be:

 

6x^2 - 13x + 5 = 0

 

(3x - 5) (2x - 1)   =  0     

 

Setting each factor to 0 and solving

 

3x - 5  = 0                           2x - 1     = 0

add 5 to both sides            add 1 to both sides

3x  = 5                                2x   =  1

divide both sides by 3        divide both sides by 2

x  = 5/3                    or         x  = 1/2
