I got a question to the following problem: (x+3)(x+5)-(x+1)(x+6)-8=0 Whenever i try to calculate that one i come to an answer of - 13/15 when the answer is -1. Well my problem is the 2nd part: -(x+1)(x+6) Could anyone write down how the equation looks without the brackets? That minus on the beginning kinda screws me up all the time. Ty in advance

Solve for x:
-8+(x+3) (x+5)-(x+1) (x+6) = 0

Expand out terms of the left hand side:
x+1 = 0

Subtract 1 from both sides:
Answer: |x = -1
