Raul and Randy had a total of 177 game cards. Firmino and Raul had a total of 131 game cards. Firmino had \( {1 \over 3}{}{}\) as many game cards as Randy. How many more game cards had Raul than Randy?

We can start by seeing Randy + Raul = 177 and Firmino + Raul = 131. Firmino = \(\frac{1}{3}\text{Randy.}\) Raul = 177 - Randy and Raul = 131 - Firmino. Now we have 177 - Randy = 131 - Firmino. Now we can substitute to get 177 - 3(Firmino) = 131 - Firmino, and now 46 = 2 Firmino. Firmino = 23. We can take this and find Raul = 131 - 23 and then Raul = 108. 177 - 108 = 69 cards. Now that Raul = 108 and Randy = 69, we just subtract 69 from 108 to get 39 cards more than Randy.

Hope this helped!
