Let the diagonal =D

Let the side =S

D^2=2S^2. Example: Let the diagonal=10,

10^2=2S^2

100=2S^2 divide both sides by 2

50=S^2 Take the square root of both sides

S=sqrt(50)

S=7.07........ The length of each side.
