1. The area of a triangle is 1/2bh where b stands for base and h stands for height.

 

Answer: A = 1/2 x b x h

 

2. The area of an equilateral triangle given only the side length is √3 / 4 x a² where a is the side length.

 

Answer: A = √ 3 / 4 x a²

 

3. The area of a triangle given the length of the 3 sides is √ s ( s - a ) ( s - b ) ( s - c ) where s is the semiperimeter, which is ( a + b + c ) / 2, and a, b, and c are the 3 side lengths.

 

Answer: A =  √ s ( s - a ) ( s - b ) ( s - c )

 

There are other formulas for the area of a triangle given an angle as well.
