how do you find the perimeter of a right angle triangle with these numbers:25, 3x, x 25 is the hypotenuse, 3x is the bottom leg and x is the side leg?

Using Pythagoras we have: 

 

x^2 + (3x)^2 = 25^2

 

or:    10x^2 = 625

            x = sqrt(62.5) → 7.906

 

The perimeter is now found from 4x + 25

.
