Solve, given that (0o < x < 360o): 2 sin2 x - 3 sin x + 1 = 0

I have to solve for x, and x has to be an angle. crying

2 sin^2 x - 3 sin x + 1 = 0   factor  as :

(2sinx - 1)  (sinx - 1)  = 0

Now, either

2sinx - 1   = 0   →   sinx   =  1 / 2       and this occurs at   30°  and 150° on the given interval

OR

sinx - 1 = 0     →   sin x  = 1         and this occurs at 90°

Here's a graph of the solutions.....https://www.desmos.com/calculator/exqk4ustum

Hi SHADES,

I as well as a guest, answered that same question somewhere  else.

Please do not ask the same question in 2 different places!

It often means that you get 2 identical answers and someone else gets no answer to their question.!

Please follow the guidelines if you want to repost a question!

Thank you :)

The guest didn't help me at all, so I had to post my question again so that I could get an answer... You didn't answer till later...

That is fine Shades, I have not problem with you reposting

BUT

You need to do it the way you have been asked.

State that your question has not been answered yet and include the address of you question OR a link to it.

DO NOT rewrite the whole question all over again so that there are two complete identical questions on the forum.

Thank you   :)
