Desmos Graphing calc

Is there any way to specify the points and then ask for a certain type of graph to be drawn/named from it.

ex circle or polynomial of degree 3  etc ?

Perhaps Wolfram|Alpha will do this?

Thank you

Here's the only problem with this, Melody......

GRAPH

Notice that all three polynomials have the same three points in common ....so...which is the "correct" function???

So, for instance....if we just specified (-1,0), (0,1) and (1,0).....there are infinite possibilities.....

Thanks Chris,

But only one of those is of degree 3

I realize there may be alternate answers but for instance 3 points is enough to specify a parabola.

2 is enough for a line.

etc etc

This post is getting a little old now but i thought someone might know how this can be done.  It seems a faily obvious thing that a mathematician would want to know.

You could type in an equation with unknown coefficients etc, add the points that it should go through and have some possibilities thrown out - or maybe told that there is insufficent data. (maybe with a reason)

Surely there is a program around that will do this.
