To graph the point  (4/5,0)  find the point on the x-axis (the horizontal axis) that is 4/5 of a mark to the right of the origin.

To graph the point  (0,-4)  find the point on the y-axis (the vertical axis) that is 4 marks below the origin.

Draw the line that connect those two points.

To calculate the x-intercept, put 0 in for y:  0  =  5x - 4   -->   4  =  5x   -->  x  =  4/5

To calculate the y-intercept, put 0 in for x:  y  =  5(0) - 4   -->  y  =  -4

Thanks! How do I graph it using the X and Y intercept method?
