We can find the coordinates of D  by noting  that  we had to subtract 1 from the x coordinate of (2,3)   and 2 from the y coordinate of (2,3)  to get (1,1)

 

This implies that if we  subtract 1 from the x coordinate of (5, 3)  and 2 from its y coordinate we get  

(5 - 1, 3 - 2)  =  (4, 1)  =   D
