what is half of a fourth and half of an eight? plz help
(1/2) [ 1/4 + 1/8] =
(1/2) [ 2/8 + 1/8] ]
(1/2)(3/8} =
3/16
1/8, 1/16 respectivly
Half of a fourth: is an eight.
(1/4)*(1/2)= (1/8)
multiply across, numerator times numerator, (1*1=1) and denominator times denominator (2*4=8).
Same thing for half og an eighth. Which is a sixteenth.
(1/8)*(1/2) = (1/16)
