slope  =  m  =  [ y2 - y1 ] / [ x2 - x1 ]

(x1, y1) = (-4, 7)     and     (x2, y2) = (-6, -4)

Substitute:  m  =  [ -4 - 7 ] / [ -6 - -4 ]  =  -11/-2  =  11/2
