what is the multiplicative inverse of -5/4

The multiplicative inverse of a = 1/a   so we have...

-5/4   =    1/(-5/4) =  -4/5

Basically, the muliplicative inverse is a number such that  a*n = 1

So.....n = 1/a = -4/5
