so algebrix expression for this will be

 

(x+2)-6

 

we have got this by finding different parts of the expression and then placing them correctly!

 

like first we took our number(the one we weren't given the value of) as x and so we did it like as it said sum of a number and 2 so x+2

 

and then it said less than 6 so that means we gotta subtract 6 from this!

 

so all that gives us the expression!

 

(x+2)-6 

 

(just if u wanna solve , we will open the brackets and our next step shall be!)

 

= x +2 - 6  

 

so i hope now uve understood of how to form expressions from such statements!

The sum of a number and two can be written as   N + 2  ..... and six less than this is just.....

(N + 2) - 6    =  N + 2 - 6  =

N - 4
