What does u = in 4/3u-6=7/3+3

Solve for u:
(4 u)/3-6 = 16/3

Put each term in (4 u)/3-6 over the common denominator 3: (4 u)/3-6  =  (4 u)/3-(18)/3:
(4 u)/3-(18)/3 = 16/3

(4 u)/3-(18)/3 = (4 u-18)/3:
(4 u-18)/3 = 16/3

Multiply both sides of (4 u-18)/3 = 16/3 by 3:
(3 (4 u-18))/3 = 3×16/3

3×16/3 = (3×16)/3:
(3 (4 u-18))/3 = (3×16)/3

(3 (4 u-18))/3 = 3/3×(4 u-18) = 4 u-18:
4 u-18 = (3×16)/3

(3×16)/3 = 3/3×16 = 16:

First you get U on its own side so

4/3u-6=7/3+3 Add six to both sides

4/3u=7/3u + 9 Then you multiply 4/3 by the recipricle of 7/3 which is 3/7

12/21u = 9 multiply 9/1 by the recipricle of 12/21 which is 21/12

u = 15.7500000008 That is your awnser and round to the nearest sig fig or what they tell you to round to. If you want a fraction just take the improper fraction of 9/1 * 21/12 and then turn it into a mixed fraction.
