The cost per person to rent a character bus to follow the boys soccer team to the state championships caries inversely to the number of people who ride the bus. If 40 people pay $9.50 each ride the charter bus, what is the cost per person if only 25 people go?

Since the cost of the bus is the same no matter how many are on it

and the cost is calculated by:  (number of persons)x(cost per person)

(40)(9.50)  =  (25)(x)

Solving this will give the the cost per person ...
