Multiply (6 cis 300o)(2 cis 30o) and express the answer in rectangular form. {nl} {nl} I know how to express this in polar form, but how do I put it into rectangular form?

\( (6 e^{300^{0}i})*(2e^{30^0i})\\~\\ =12e^{330^0i}\\~\\ =12(cos330+isin330)\\~\\ =12(cos30-isin30))\\~\\ =12(\frac{\sqrt3}{2}-i*\frac{1}{2})\\~\\ =6\sqrt3-6i\)

Why dont you try using the calculator that is embedded into the forum Hayley.

That way people can see that you have given the answer to the correct question.

Besides, it is cool to work out how everything works :)

If 1 acre of land is avalible, and each tree is 25 feet apart, how many trees can you fit in the acre of land?

How big is an acre?   43560 sqare feet according  to our guest.

43560/25=1642.4

So if the land was 1 foot by 43560 feet  and there was a tree up against one end of it then 

I think 1643 trees would fit altogether. :/

how do you answer this?: 12-(-16)divided by 3

\(12-\frac{- 16}{3}=12- - 5\frac{1}{3}= 12+ 5\frac{1}{3}= 17\frac{1}{3}\)

 5.1*10^(2)/(1.7*10^-4) in standard form

\(\frac{5.1*10^2}{1.7*10^{-4}}= \frac{5.1}{1.7}*10^{2- - 4} = 3*10^6\)
