First put 1-1/3 into improper fraction...

1-1/3 = 4/3

$${\frac{{\mathtt{4}}}{{\mathtt{3}}}}{\mathtt{\,\times\,}}{\mathtt{6}}$$

Then cross multiply... 3 will go into 6 how many times? Well, 2 • 3 = 6, so 3 will go into 6 two times...

$${\frac{{\mathtt{4}}}{{\mathtt{1}}}}{\mathtt{\,\times\,}}{\mathtt{2}}$$

Then multiply 4 • 2... which is 8...

Answer = 8

First, convert.

1 1/3=4/3

6=6/1

Multiply denominators

6*4=24

3*1=3

24/3=8
