Put the equation in slope-intercept form by isolating the "y."  Then you can either graph it starting with the y-intercept as your initial point and using rise/run...or make a table of values by choosing values for x (input, domain) and calculating the y values (output, range), then graph the ordered pairs, (x,y), from the table.
