Kevin works at the supemarket in Maggie Valley. One of his jobs is to gather up the shopping carts from the parking lot and return them to the supermarket. He goes out to gather carts three times each day. On Monday he gathered up 17 carts, 19 carts, and 30 carts. On Tuesday he gathered up 30 carts, 25 carts, and 41 carts. How many more carts did he gather up on Tuesday than he did on Monday?

On Tuesday he gathered the following carts;

17 + 19 + 30 = 66

So he gathered a total of 66 carts on Monday

On Tuesday he gathered the following carts;

30 + 25 + 41 = 96

So he gathered a total of 96 carts on Tuesday.

How many more carts did he gather up on Tuesday than he did on Monday?

To answer this question, we simply need to minus what he gathered on Monday to what he gathered on Tuesday.

So we have;

99 - 66 = 30

Therefore, he gathered 30 more carts on Tuesday than he did on Monday.
