te lo risolvo con i sistemi
2x-3y=-7
x+(1/4)y=-(7/4) ;
2x-3y=-7 ---------> per -2
4x+y=-7
-4x+6y=14
4x+y=-7
----------------
0x+7y=7
7y=7 --->y=1
adesso prendi un'equazione che vuoi e la risolvi con l'incognita trovata, quindi al posto di tutte le y metti 1
2x-3(1)=-7 ---> 2x-3=-7 ----> 2x=-4 ------> x=-2
y=1
x=-2
*Spero di esserti stata d'aiutoo ù.ù Ciauuu !!! *

you could do the pythagorean theorem http://web2.0calc.com/formulary/math/trigonometry#pythagorean-theorem if you want to find the height of the hypotenuse.

Circumference of the 4 circles will always be 20 times pi -Try it as follows:- 4+5+6+5=20, 1+2+10+7=20, 3+4+8+5=20 Etc x Pi (I don't know how to get the symbol for Pi to type)- is it alternative symbols or something?

Could be 1 but bigger a bigger 1(equal in size to the 3 original sized bits if the things we are adding are modelling clay- depends how hard you squeeze them together!

Don't reply to the above question. I figured out the answer and I now realize that I am an idiot. I apologize for wasting your time.

i means that you have square rooted a negative quantity - impossible in real arithmetic hence the i = sqr(-1)
If the vlaue of the expression inside the sqr is -p where p is positive, then it should give (sqr(p))i .. the cal algortithm would have been written to do this.
I haven't checked your calcaultion but that's probably the explanation.
