F=MA
Force=Mass*Acceleration
so, if the Force is 100.0N, and the mass is 5.00kg,
100.0=5.00*A
solve for A
100.0/5.00=(5.00*A)/5.00
20.0=A

As said, this isn't an equation. Equation states that two values are respective to each other, this is a calculation.
12 / -16 = - 12/16
-- In multiplication and division operations, the "polarity" of the result depends on the amount of minus-signs in the calculation
-- If the amount of minus-signs is even (2,4,6,8) then the result is positive, uneven amount results in negative result.
- 12/16 can further be processed to a "nicer" result by dividing the fractions sides by 4
-> - 12/16 is as much as - 3/4, the outcome is the same
In math you usually want the result as simple as possible, so this is the right answer.

Simpliest way is by sin,cos,tan.
...
-The hypotenuse of a triangle is the longest side of it.
sin(a) = the length of the side opposite to angle a divided by the length of the hypotenuse
cos(a) = the length of the side next to angle a divided by the length of the hypotenuse
tan(a) = the length of the side opposite to angle a divided by the length of the side next to angle a
after solving the value of sin/cos/tan a (any of them) you use the respective function asin/acos/atan to the value -> returns the angle
Notice: some systems return the angle in an unit called Radian instead of Degree, this might make the results seem way too small.
The conversion from Radian to Degree goes -> deg = rad * 180 / pi

I cant really give any concrete help not knowing about the environment but I'll write something
If you know the resistance over the distance and the current flowing through then the voltage-drop is U = R *
I
The resistance of copper cable can be solved by R = 0.0175 * l (lowercase) / A
If you know all the influential resistance values of the circuit (in series) you can solve the question as voltage-drop is linear to the resistance of the component.
This one's more of an electronics solution, requires basic knowledge of electronics.
U = voltage
R = resistance
I
= current
l (lowercase) = length
A = area

I don't really know anything about this but I looked up Google and Wikipedia had something worth posting here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ntsc
Check the part titled "Frame rate conversion" as the 3:2 pulldown operation would seem to be what you need.
A site about making these operations yourself: http://documentation.apple.com/en/cinematools/usermanual/index.html#chapter=13%26section=3%26tasks=true
Best of luck!

Assuming '?' is the same number in each case:
?^4 = 490
So you need the 4th root of 490 (ie take the square root twice) and is approximately equal to 4.7
Otherwise a convenient combination could be 7 x 7 x 2 x 5

7r=-7 over 2
7r = -7/2
r = -1/2 divide each side by 7 and you are done.

Perimeter of what?
Use the definition: The perimeter of a polygon is the sum of the length of all the sides.
So if a triangle has 3 sides, (3,4,5) then the perimeter is 3+4+5 = 12

Assuming you want to "simplify" this
(16^-2/4^4)^-1
1/(16^-2/4^4) Negative one power is reciprocal
(16^-2 / 4^4) (16^-2) = 1/(16^2) = 1/256 4^4 = 256
(1/256)/(256) = 1/(256^2) = 1/(65536)
Put it all together 1/(1/(65536) = 65536
Remember, x^-1 = 1/x x^-2 = 1/(x^2) and so on and (1/x)/x = x^2 and 1(1/x) = x
