a pack of pencils costs $5.00, but the total cost payed was $5.36. What is the sales tax rate? (A percent)

5.36/5.00 =1.072 - 1 =.072 X 100=7.2% sales tax on a pack of pencils.

One more comment about this problem....we will always have integer solutions and equal triangles when the quantties involved form Pythagorean Triples.......specifically......

If the isoceles sides of the triangles  =   "c"  in the formula  a^2 + b^2  = c^2

And if we let the base of one  triangle  = two times the length of one of the legs in the triple.....then the height will be equal to the remaining number in the triple.

x^-2/3 = (1/x^((2/3)))

That is what would show up.

Enter   'x'    then the key right next to the '7' key:  x^y      then parenthesis  then '2' then division key then '3'  then +- key     then close parenthesis     then =

y = sin (n * arcsin x)   n > 0

y '  =  cos (n*arcsin x) * [ n  (1 - x^2)^(-1/2)]

y ''  = -sin(n*arcsin x) * [ n  (1 - x^2)^(-1/2)]* [ n  (1 - x^2)^(-1/2)]  + cos(n * arcsinx)* [n * x * (1 - x^2)^(-3/2) ] =

-sin(n*arcsin x)* [n^2 (1- x^2)^-1] + cos (n*arcsinx) * [ nx * (1- x^2)^(-3/2) ]  =

[n (1-x)^(-3/2)] * [ xcos(n*arcsinx  - nsin(n*arcsinx)(1-x^2)^(1/2) ]

So....

(1 - x^2) y ''  - xy '  + n^2y    =

(1-x^2) [n (1-x)^(-3/2)] [ xcos(n*arcsinx)- nsin(n*arcsinx)(1-x^2)^(1/2)] -

x [cos (n*arcsin x)] * [ n  (1 - x^2)^(-1/2)]  + n^2 [sin (n * arcsin x)]  =

[ n (1 -x)^(-1/2) ] [ xcos(n*arcsinx)  - nsin(n*arcsinx)(1-x^2)^(1/2) ]

- x [cos (n*arcsin x)] * [ n  (1 - x^2)^(-1/2)]  + n^2 [sin (n * arcsin x)]   =

[ xcos(n*arcsinx)] *  [ n (1 -x)^(-1/2) ] -

[ n (1 -x)^(-1/2) ] * [ nsin(n*arcsinx)(1-x^2)^(1/2)] -

[x cos (n*arcsin x)] * [ n  (1 - x^2)^(-1/2)]  + n^2 [sin (n * arcsin x)]   =

n^2 [sin (n * arcsin x)]  -

 n * (1 -x)^(-1/2)  * [ nsin(n*arcsinx)] * (1-x^2)^(1/2)  =

n^2 [sin (n * arcsin x)]   -  [ n* n * (1 -x)^(-1/2) * (1 -x)^(1/2) * sin(n*arcsinx) ] =

n^2 [sin (n * arcsin x)]  - n^2 [ sin(n * arcsinx)]  =

The answer is because he's 7.

Sir/ma'am, I wish to acquaint your facial features with a fundamental item used in building walls. Repeatedly. :)

Here's a question.... Why are you such a asswipe?

It's just another day.  If you load it up with a bunch of unrealistic expectations, you'll onlly be disappointed......get over it,,,move on.

Do you have a MATH question?

THAT IS MY SONG!!!!!!!

Use "2nd" key first. Then you will see "asin, acos, atan". Press the key that you want, followed by = key.

2nd button

2+2+9+9+9+9+9+9++9+9+9+9+9++99++9+9+9+9+9+9+9+9+9+9+9+9+9+99+9+9++99+9++9+9+9+9+9+9+9++9+9+9+9+9+9+9+9+9 = 688

Tell us: What are you trying to calculate? Then we can help you.

It does but there is only two x'es and by two variable terms I think they mean two different ones for example Y and X.

Hallo, good evening guests!

How do you find x = 3 sin^3 t ?

It is x = 3 * (sin t)³ ? Dann ist:

t = pi/4

x =1.06066

t = pi/2

x = 3

t = 3pi/2

x = - 3

t = pi

x = 0

t = 2pi

x = 0

Bye, asinus :- )

Is this Chebyshev's equation: (1 - x^2)*y" - xy' + n^2y=0   ???????

3 - (- (1^2) = 4         are you saying  'negative one squared'    or  'the negative of one squared'   ??

3 take away negative 1^2 will be 4?

-1^2=1

3 - 1 =2

I'm sorry, i made a mistake! I meant:

(6x^2)^4 = (6x^2)(6x^2)(6x^2)(6x^2) = 6*6*6*6*x^2*x^2*x^2 = 1296x^8

(6x^2)^4 = (6x^2)(6x^2)(6x^2)(6x^2) = 6x^8

tan 27  = 7.7/x    x = 7.7 / tan27 =17.05 m

100 sin 30 = 45.39 mi north

100 cos 30 = 89.1  mi west
