You do the vertical line test. Look at the graph to see if for an x-value, there are multiple y's associated with it.
See: http://www.regentsprep.org/regents/math/algebra/ap3/lfunction.htm
Do you mean like delta x? That means a change in two values, for example, to find the slope we can say delta y / delta x instead of y2 - y1 divided by x2 - x1.
2/3 : 8
2/3 / 8
Skip, change, & flip
2/3 * 1/8
2 / 24
1/12.
First one: y - y1 = m(x - x1).
Second one: Choose whichever point to use for (x1,y1); see previous equation in #1.
Third one: (0,7)(-6,-6) (2,-2) ????????? Does not form a line.
Most common ways are:
Crossing out similar terms: Ex. 5x^2/x^2...the x^2's can be crossed out leaving us with 5.
Collecting like terms: Ex. 4x + 9x + 5 --> 13x + 5.
Distributing and then collecting like terms: Ex. 4(x+1) + x --> 4x + 4 + x --> 5x + 4.
Exponents: Ex. 5x^-2 --> 5/x^2.
Think of .352 as 352. How would you go from .352 to 352? 352/1000.
Now, you just need to keep on dividing by 2's or choose a larger number until you reduce it all the way.
Divide both sides by 8:
$$x \le -4.$$
2+2=4
All you have to do is cross multiply:
If you need n/25 = 26...do the same process except you have 26 instead of 25.
i know figure it out! i know the answer cus i posted it!
What is 60% of 800? Is it less than 553? Then, no, it is not unusual.
simplest form:
32/2=16
100/2=50
AKA
32/100=16/50=8/25=4/12.5
now no need to do that!i dont want your hard work to just get erased like that!i was just trying to remind u for what Melody once said!
Shrek is Love, Shreck is life. ;'D
This doesn't make sense.
y - y1 = m(x - x1)
(x1, y1) are the coordinates given: (-4,2).
m = slope = 3.
All you have to do is plug it in (make sure to keep track of negatives).
To solve for x, you just have to use the arcsin or sin^-1 or sin inverse.
On the home page, type in "acos" in to the calculator followed by "0.01" like this: acos(0.01).
thank you guys
Wow. Those are some expensive chips and salsa....
Anyway, all you have to do is multiply the cost of 34.56 by 20 to get the total cost for 20 bags and cans of salsa.
I'll just edit the simplified form.
Aziz i think we should hae allowed anonymous to do the rest him/her self???
