We can't give a definitive distance, because it depends upon the rebound height  of the ball. We can model the situation as follows:

The ball travels 10 ft and then strikes the ground. It then rebounds to a height of 10r, where r is  some value between 0 and 1. And it falls this distance again before striking the ground.

So, the ball has traveled 10 + 2*10r feet.

And on the next bounce it rises to a height of (10r)r = 10r² feet ..and it also falls this far before striking the ground again.

So, after two bounces, the ball has traveled  10 + 2*10r + 2*10r²  feet = 10 + 20 (r + r²) feet

I have a question. In the first step, why do you cancel out $$a^2?$$

OK.....if we have

[a²b - 7a²] / a⁵       we can factor out an a²  at the top and we have

[(a²) (b - 7)] / a⁵   =

[b - 7 ] / a³ 

1/100000000000=1/10^11=1/[(10^5)^2*10]=1/100000*(10^-1)=squarer root of 10/1000000

note: suare root of 1/10=square root of 10/100=suare root of 10......../10

Take a look.

It si when you take a number outside of parenthesis and ultipl it by a number in parenthesis

Ex: 2(4+8) is two times 4 plus two times eight, and is usualyy used with a variable!
