The mathematical model I got was 10(1+2)^24
The question asked was How much money will you have after 4 weeks?
sorry Regan, your question does not make sense, and I am also sorry that you don't like maths too. I think that maths is fascinating. Never mind, we can't all like everything.
Maybe your question was meant to be something like
10(1+2%)^n ? where n was in weeks and 10 is how many there were to start with ?

if a³+b³=0
than a³=-b³
and a=-b
and if I'm not wrong a³+b³ is (a+b)(a^2-ab+b^2) not (a+b)(a^2-2ab+b^2)

Thanks peter,
Your explanation helped a lot.
I got more of an explanation from the above web page and after looking at the diagram on page 557 and adding it to knowledge I already have I understood exactly.
I would like to see a proof of why e
(i*theta)
= cos(theta) + i*sin(theta)
The artical says that this relationship is shown/proved in a more advance area.
Thanks again,
Hi Baummann
Sorry I hijacked your post. Do you understand now?

e^(24.52585093i) is the direction of the value
because there is no ° at the value I know it is a radian
so you can add or sub 2π so much you want
I dicrease 2π untile the value is between 0 and 2π
You can write cos(24.52585093), too because it's the same as cos(5.676295008)
I don't know if this explaination helps, but I hope.

Hi Peter,
I was looking at this question when your answer was posted
I also got the first 3 lines of your working but I don't see how e^(24.52585093i) becomes e^(5.676295008i)
I'd also really like to understand the next line as well.
I would be really grateful if you could explain this.
thanks.
10^(5 + 10i) * (5e^(3i))^0.5
10^5 * 10^(10i) * 5^0.5 * e^(1.5i)
223606.7977 * e^(24.52585093i)
223606.7977 * e^(5.676295008i)
223606.7977 * cos(5.676295008)+223606.7977 * sin(5.676295008) i

Find the smaller and bigger values of b in the function x^2+bx-29
b can be any number.
Maybe there is something missing from your question.

(8--3)(8^2+8*-3+-3^2)
but I think you may really have meant
(8--3)(8^2+8*-3+ (-3)^2)
=(8+3) * (64 +(8*-3) + (-3*-3))
=11 * (64 + -24 + +9)
=11* (64-24+9)
=11*49
=539
If you really did mean
(8--3)(8^2+8*-3+-3^2) then it will be
= 11*(64-24-9)
= 11*31
= 341

-4(2x - 1) = -6(x + 2) - 2
-4*(2x - 1) = -6*(x + 2) - 2
-4*2x - -4*1 = -6*x + -6*2 -2
-8x + 4 = -6x -12 -2
-8x + 4 = -6x -14
now add 6x to both sides
then subtract 4 from both sides
then divide both sides by the number in front of the x
then it will be finished.

A music publisher earns a 6.75% commission on the moey made from the use of a song on a CD. If the music publisher earns $84,375, how much money was made from the use of the song?
Let the money made be x dollars
0.75% of x = $84375
0.0075 * x = $84375
x = 84375 / 0.0075
x = 1.125 * 10
7
x = $11,230,000

an aluminum block displaces a volume of 15.5ml water and has a mass of 40.5g. What is its density?
Why it Could be a little different from the theoretical value? (Theoretical density of aluminum is 2.70 g / cubic cm
density = mass/ volume
15.5ml of water takes up 15.5cm cubed
Experimental density = 40.5g / 15.5cm
3
=2.61 g/cm

Experiment values are never going to be identical to theoretical values.
For a start the answer can only be as accurate as the equipment you are using will allow.
The above web address looks at this type of error, if you are interested enough.

If a movie starts at 6:45pm, and is 103 minuets long, would I have time to catch a different movie at 7:25pm? What time would the 7:25pm movie end if its 117 minutes long?
103min = 60+43 min = 1hr 43 min
6 hrs and 45min + 1hr and 43 min = 7hr and 88min = 7hrs + 1hr and 28min = 8:28
the first movie finishes at 8:28pm
117min = 60+57 min = 3 minutes less than 2 hours = 2 hours - 3 min
7:25 + 2hours - 3min = 9:25 - 3min = 9:22pm
The second movie will finish at 9:22pm
